You can license Windows Media technologies, such as codecs and Windows Media Digital Rights Management (DRM) 10, for your Interim Products. Interim products are not sold to consumers and might include digital signal processors (DSPs), application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs), reference designs, or other Windows or non-Windows software applications.

You can build and distribute consumer electronic devices that incorporate Windows Media codecs and Windows Media DRM 10. These Windows Media-based Final Products might include portable media players and network devices such as digital media receivers, cellular telephones, and in-car media devices.
